- RuneScript's RuneScape Hiscores Tracker is a site to graph and provide insite on your, or other's, experience gains. It also provides Records of experience gains and gives you your relative rank in gaining experience for the past day, week, and month.
2. When does the Tracker Update?
- Stats in the tracker are updated whenever you use Our IRC Bot's !stats Command. They are also updated when you do a user search on the Tracker or press Update on the Tracker Table. We don't do automatic lookups to comply with RuneScape's Rules.
3. I gained [insert big value here] experience and it's not showing up! What's wrong?
- The tracker graphs are cached for 15 minutes, so it may take a bit to show up. Make sure you've updated your stats as outlined above of course.
4. How often do the Top Gainers and Records pages update?
- The Top Gainers and Records pages update in realtime throughout the day. When your stats are logged, we also do record/ranking checks for you. Simply refresh the pages with your records and you should see them.
5. I'm not showing up in the Records or Top Gains!
- Updates are now processed in real time and should appear immediately. If you still don't get the position you think you should have, then it's likely we don't have all the proper records in our database to list you.
6. I think you should have feature X.

7. What's with all the ads?
- We're a community-run project for fun, and don't like ads that much, but running our tracker database takes some serious horsepower. Even with the ads and donations, we still don't quite break even in cash flow. Rest assured, once we get funds sorted out, the advertisements should drop in number.
8. I think user x is cheating the rankings/records!
- Unlikely, but name changes have allowed some people to spoof things. We have some protections against this, but if you want us to validate someone's record, feel free to post in our forums.
9. When does the 'day' start on RuneTracker?
- We run on a sliding window. IE, a day is exactly 24 hours of tracking data. We don't stop/start them at any set time.
10. What should I do if I want to achieve a record on RuneTracker?
- Well first, find a method to get higher exp than our current records.
Second, you'll want to Update your stats in the tracker [see #2] before training, that'll be the start of your sliding window. Then, train continuously for the time period you're aiming for, feeling free to log out and update your tracker just in case [we'll still look back that time period for your old record, ie for a day, we'll look back up to 24 hours]. Once you're done, log out of RuneScape, and click update, and if you got the times right, your records should be there to view immediately.11. Why won't my tracker update?
- You need to log out of RuneScape for your RuneScape hiscores page to update. We use this page to get your current stats. Sometimes, depending on server load and possible maintenance, your hiscore page will take a few moments to update, and in the case of maintenance, it may be unavailable entirely.
12. What are these 'Events'? Why can I not gain records normally during them?
- Sometimes RuneScape has a in-game event that allows you to gain extra Experience for a few days. Due to feedback from our community, we separate these events from the main tracker records, putting them in our Events page. People can still go for event records, but cannot influence our main records. Note we separate individual events onto different event pages, meaning once an event is over, those records will remain permanent.
