Hey everyone,

I was just looking at our !msgs command and noticed that RuneScript is nearing a quarter-billion commands served. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for using RuneScript and continuing to give us suggestions, feedback, and bug reports on the bot. I recently got a new job and I should be able to use some of my time to work on RuneScript again.

Tomorrow or the next day I will be releasing a feature for the Adventurer Log, as well as cleaning up some bugs if I can while I re-acquaint myself with RuneScript development. If you have any suggestions, questions, or know of any particular bugs that you'd like to see addressed, feel free to post them!

is there anyway to tie a counter to the 250millionth command like Apple did with the app store? Have at what time, who did it, what command, etc. for the big day?

Not really.. The total increases by each individual bot updating the main server every few minutes with how many commands it has processed, then the main server adds it to the total. This allows us to have a global count with !msgs, because the bot just queries the main server for the number.

With this system, it would be pretty difficult (but not impossible) to pinpoint the 250 millionth command. Also, during peak hours we're seeing upwards of 5 commands used per second at some points.. This makes it even harder because then it really comes down to server lag to figure out which one was the real 250m'th.

Very nice, I have supported runescript for years and hope to still support in the time coming. Also it would be awsome if the http://rscript.org/lookup.php?type=item parser was fixed.
