RuneTracker Updates

New postby micksam7 on Feb 5th '10, 12:34am

A bunch of small background updates have been rolled into RuneTracker lately. Mostly just usability fixes, and general cleanup make the site more uniform across pages.

We're also introducing one new feature, Interactive Charts, which can be accessed off your tracker user page. These charts are currently in testing, but are currently solid across all tested browsers. Sadly the color scheme can't be changed on the charts, hence why they are blinding white and blue, but hopefully we'll be able to get around that soon..

A few highly-requested features will be implemented soon as well, including by-exp hiscores and side-by-side user comparisons. :)

Yuck, don't use Flash. It's proprietary and the implementations on Mac and Linux need some definite improvements.

Speaking of bad flash...

To be honest, I was looking at premade javascript/SVG libraries, but nothing worked quite like the google chart api we're using now [besides the fact it won't let me change colors! :P]. Will likely change to something different in the near future.. if you [Ward]/anyone has a suggestion in javascript/svg or related timeline charts that are easy to scroll through, please please point me to them.
